TorkLift Front and Rear Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs Installation - 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Hey guys, this is Jake here with etrailer. Today, we have a 2022 Ford F-250 and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'm gonna show you how to install the Torklift In-Bed Camper Tie Downs. Now when it comes to hauling a camper in the bed of your truck, it's very important that you get it tied down properly, and these brackets are gonna help you do that. We do have some brackets available that mount inside of the bed. Usually, they go inside your stake pockets, and they have a little bracket that comes out, and you can tie down to that. In my personal opinion, those are not as quite stout enough for my liking for the safety of my camper, but these are going to be sound enough. more

TorkLift Rear Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs Installation - 2022 Ford F-250 Super Duty

Hey guys, it's Jake here with etrailer. Today we have a 2022 Ford F250 and we're gonna be taking a look at and I'mma show you how to install the TorkLift rear in bed camper tie-downs. These are gonna be a great sturdy option to be able to tie down the rear end of your in bed camper. Typically, we recommend picking up the whole kit so you can get the front stew and have all four corners of your in bed camper safe and secure when headed down the road. Now, there's a few reasons of why you would just need the rear kit. First off would probably be because if you had an accident or something like that and this kit got damaged, a good one that we've seen before is that somebody got hit from behind in an accident that it tore up their bars pretty bad so then they had to pick up just the rear kit and their front bars we're perfectly fine. more

Cheney: Hey everyone. Cheney with etrailer.com. Today I have a 2020 Ford F-250 super duty, and I want to walk through how to install the TorkLift front mount camper tie-downs. These are going to be designed to secure your in-bed camper down to your vehicle. When we compare them to some of the other ones out there, the only other set available for the 2020 F-250 is going to be Brophy stake bed pocket tie-downs. Now in my opinion, if I was going to choose between these two, I would go with these because these Mount directly to the frame rail itself, where the Brophy's actually slide down on your stake bed pockets, and they have a clamp that clamps onto the side. more

Today on our 1997 Ford F250 Heavy Duty, we're going to be installing the TorkLift Custom Frame-Mounted Camper Tie-Downs for the rear of the vehicle, part number TLR3501. Here's the tie-down receiver that we're going to need to mount to our vehicle's hitch. You want to try to put it as far back on the hitch in the vehicle as possible, but yet you also have to keep in mind that you want to make sure it doesn't interfere with things. Like back here, we wouldn't able to drill our four holes, but right in this area here, on the other side we have plenty of room to drill through and not hit anything, as well as to install our hardware. We also want to make sure that the insert right here, when you put the insert into your receiver, that it will clear the body of the vehicle, which it will. We're going to go ahead and hold our piece up into position. We're going to take a paint marker and mark the four holes that we'll need to drill. Now when drilling out the holes, we will use the step drill bit method by starting smaller and then working our way up to a 7/16ths drill bit. more
